Tiagua

Tiagua is located in the center of the island of Lanzarote. This small town was the most active and important agricultural area on the island at the beginning of the 20th century.

This beautiful place is surrounded by volcanoes, including the Montaña de Clérigo Duarte volcano.

What to see

Although there are not too many buildings, its white houses typical of the area and its streets are worth appreciating. We recommend you visit:
  • The Church of Nuestra Señora del Socorro (1612), just outside the northern exit of the town, with its characteristic arched door with a profile of red stonework and its robust buttresses whitewashed to the sides.
  • The famous El Patio Agricultural Museum, which is It is considered the most complete ethnographic museum in the Canary Islands.
