Mácher is located west of the capital of the municipality, and its hamlet is scattered on both sides of the road that goes to Yaiza, still surviving old mansions from the last century.
Traditionally, its inhabitants have dedicated themselves to the cultivation of tomatoes and onions, with a curious agrarian division. In the land located to the north of the main road that divides the town is where onions are grown, while those to the south of it are dedicated to tomatoes. At present, the agricultural activity in this place hardly exists, its inhabitants occupying themselves in the tourist activity and services.
The houses of Mácher are an ideal attraction as they perpetuate the construction style of the Canarian mansions of the 19th century.
