
It is a scattered town located northeast of Teseguite, extends to Los Vallichuelos and is limited by the Guenia mountain, which separates it from the Guatiza area; on the other hand, the entity links with Los Valles and the Lomo de Manguía;
Traditionally, the basic activity of the population was grazing and the traditional cultivation of Lanzarote products such as onions, potatoes and tomatoes, among others.
Its hermitage of San Sebastián (16th century) is the greatest tourist attraction in El Mojón, despite its small size it is extremely beautiful. It consists of a single nave and a gabled roof, with a completely white façade, except for the arch of the main door.
El Mojón is famous for the festivals in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary, which are celebrated on October 7, and, of course, those of San Sebastian, which is celebrated on January 20.
