San Francisco Convent

The church of Nuestra Señ; ora de Miraflores is popularly known as San Francisco, as it is the ninth temple of the Franciscan order in the Canary Islands. In 1588 Gonzalo Argote ordered The construction of the religious complex that would last until 1598 with the idea of being a stately pantheon, which prevented it from being completed. the one that was destroyed in the great invasion of 1618.

After several reconstructions, only the church of the Franciscan convent of Teguise remains and it has been converted into the Museum of Sacred Art.
