
Located in the SpÃnola Palace , in Villa de Teguise, complements the offer of one of the oldest municipalities with the greatest monumental value in the Canary Islands.
The Timple House-Museum is dedicated to publicizing the history of the municipality of Teguise, as well as the history and evolution of timple, one of the most representative musical instruments of the Canary archipelago.
The museum presents, as a central element, a wide collection of timples, as well as as instruments from other countries that give dimension to the use of this type of small guitars by many cultures from different parts of the planet. In addition, the visitor may get closer to the knowledge of the folklore of Teguise, contemplate the phases of the construction process of the timple, as well as the How to enjoy various audiovisual elements within the framework of a heritage environment of great architectural interest.
The Timple House-Museum also offers a series of scheduled activities such as concerts, courses or talks.
