Timanfaya Visitors and Interpretation Center

Half-submerged in a sea of lava, the Mancha Blanca Visitor and Interpretation Center is located near the Timanfaya National Park. This center provides essential information before visiting the park, helping visitors understand the unique volcanic phenomena of Lanzarote.

Inside, there is a large room housing a permanent exhibition that explains the volcanic history of the Canary Islands and Timanfaya, along with details about the island's flora, fauna, and coastline.

Additionally, an adjoining audiovisual room features a photo montage and videos that provide an in-depth history of the National Park in sessions lasting approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

The center also includes library rooms, a photo library, a video library, and a newspaper archive, as well as a small souvenir shop where visitors can purchase keepsakes of their visit.

The main room is connected to viewpoints and walkways, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect spot to take in the natural beauty of the area.
