Teguise, Tiagua

We set off from Teguise, starting in Plaza Maciot de Bethencourt, towards Morales Lemus street until you reach a dirt track with stone walls on both sides that advances along the jable.

During the course of the route we will cross the area known as the Volcano, a volcanic lava flow generated in the eruptions of 1730-1736.

Approaching Tiagua, the road ascends gently, leaving behind us the excellent views of Jable, Teguise and the Famara Massif, and in front of us a volcanic landscape, formed by lava flows and crops in sand.

We enter Tiagua through Hacomar street, continuing along Achamán street to the hermitage of Nuestra Señora del Socorro, which dates back to 1612. In Tiagua we can visit the Agricultural Museum " The backyard", an excellent recreation of a 19th century agricultural estate, which It has more than 70 ha. of crops preserving infrastructure traditional as the Mill, the chapel, the cellar and the winery.
