Surf in Famara

La Caleta de Famara, a town with a fishing tradition , located north of Lanzarote. It has Playa Famara, one of the most spectacular beaches on the island.

In recent years, Famara has become the place to be for numerous surfers from all over the world, who have come to check out the best beach and rock waves on the island known as the “Hawaii of Europe”. Currently Famara is a multi-cultural mix in which locals and surfers of all nationalities coexist in a relaxed atmosphere. In the town there are several restaurants, bars, terraces and food stores, as well as many restaurants. such as bicycle and longboard skate rentals, a fitness center, yoga and pilates classes, and a beauty and massage center.

In this area you can find several spots, both left and right, but in general they are fast and tube waves, fun and maneuverable. On its many peaks, the beach offers a multitude of options for surfers of all levels.
