Surfing in Las Caletas

It is at the exit of Arrecife towards Costa Teguise, very close to the Port of Los Mármoles. The wave breaks next to the water treatment plant. On days with little wind and northeasterly seas, fairly high-quality wave breaks are not frequented, although a lot of force is usually necessary for it to work.

However, it is important to note that Las Caletas is not a beach with big waves and is not the ideal destination for more experienced surfers looking for big, powerful waves.

If you are an experienced surfer and are looking for bigger waves, in Lanzarote, there are other beaches such as Famara or El Quemao, which are better known for their waves and are preferred by more advanced surfers. In short, if you like surfing, Las Caletas is a good option to enjoy this sport in a calmer and more relaxed environment.
