The most important coastal population center of Yaiza is Playa Blanca. It is located in the south of Lanzarote, opposite the island of Fuerteventura, in the so-called Bocaina Strait. It still retains the seafaring flavor that characterized it. in the past despite having become one of the best tourist areas on the island.

Playa Blanca has a varied hotel offer with modern hotels and well-kept luxury developments; a flourishing service environment: bars, restaurants, shops… and one of the best marinas in Lanzarote. Boat trips depart from the port to the beaches of Papagayo. There is jet ski rental and a tourist submarine that shows part of the seabed of the place. Very close to it are the Papagayo beaches where white sand and crystal clear water peek out from between the cliffs.

It also has a commercial port from which you can easily reach the island of Fuerteventura, in just over half an hour, on the ferries that make daily services

Before reaching Playa Blanca, coming from Yaiza, there is a the detour that leads to Pechiguera Point, the westernmost point of the island. It is in her the lighthouse of the same name.
