Pila de la Barrilla beach, known by the locals as small beach, is located in Puerto del Carmen, it is a 90 meter long sand and rock beach. 

This is a cove curiously protected by extensions of natural lava that give this beach a special character due to the tranquility of its waters.

What to do

Under its calm and warm waters are the most spectacular seabeds of Lanzarote, which make it the main immersion point on the island with the most things to see. A delight for diving!

The name Pila de la Barrilla, comes from the fact that the locals took advantage of the sharp rocks in the area to crush the barrel, this plant was the main resource for making soap and obtaining soda in the second half of the s. XVIII.
