This trail is located in the north of the Island, in the municipality from Haría. To access this path, we will take the Máguez road in the direction of Yé, turning off at the first entrance to the left, just a few meters before entering the town of Yé. We access an area called Las Rositas where a car park has been set up that connects the nearest paved road with the trailhead. Once located at this point, we walk about 300m along a cobbled path that takes us to the narrow path that descends in a zig-zag fashion along the Famara Cliff.
The landscape is dominated by dry stone walls covered by a considerable quantity of lichens on the faces facing north. We descend, opening before us an impressive landscape, and on clear days it is possible to distinguish the Islets of the Chinijo Archipelago. At an altitude of 70m, the slope softens as the road runs in a more or less straight line, towards Risco beach, partly covered with jable (sand), and dominated by coastal scrub. To the right, and at the foot of the cliff, Risco beach connects with the path to Salinas del Río, which is a few meters away.
