This is a virgin beach of black sand and gravel, with an intermediate texture as a result of erosion. ;n of the volcanic flows of Timanfaya.  It is about 180 m long x 10 m wide.

Despite being a windy beach with strong waves, bathing is safe. However, the seabed is rocky and irregular, so it is recommended to wear some type of footwear and exercise extreme caution.

Las Malvas is one of the less traveled beaches in Lanzarote. Ideal for those who want to get away from the crowded centers and beaches.

As it is isolated, it lacks services.

What to do

The coastal area of the Malvas beach has traditionally been used for recreational rod fishing and shellfishing of small molluscs that grow attached to the rocks, such as limpets and barnacles, as well as shellfish. n crabs and sea urchins are appreciated by shellfish gatherers and used in traditional Canarian cuisine.

How to get there

Las Malvas is accessed from the center of the town of Tinajo. From where you take the road to Tenesár. Once you reach the crossroads where the asphalt road ends, instead of turning right to go to the town of Tensár, continue straight for about 5km along the dirt road.

Please note that the beach does not currently have car parking, so you will need to find parking around the area.
