Playa Honda is a coastal town located on the east coast of Lanzarote, between the capital, Arrecife, and the César Manrique Airport. 

Catalogued as a residential area, Playa Honda emerged as a residential area. In Playa Honda it is very important to point out that you will find the largest and longest beaches of the entire island of Lanzarote. They are the beaches that are found along the runways of the Lanzarote Airport and along the entire coastline of Playa Honda, they are all beaches that, facing south, are suitable for swimming.

In the afternoons there is usually a bit of wind on its beaches, making them perfect for practicing windsurfing.
