Haría Viewpoint

To the north of the island, at some point on the narrow and winding road that descends to the town of Haría, a homonymous viewpoint awaits, between palm trees and dragon trees, ready to be discovered.

Also known as Mirador de Malpaso, in relation to the valley that houses it, it gained prominence in 1966, when the Canarian artist Cesar Manrique received I was commissioned to design, on top of the massif, a small house that would serve as a resting place for hikers.

The viewpoint, safe from the proliferation of large tourist developments in the 1970s, offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, the imposing < strong>Volcán de la Corona, and the friendly town of Haría. This impressive area is considered by many to be the most diverse area of the island in geological, agricultural and landscape terms.

Currently, here we can find the Interpretation Center for Fauna and Flora of the region. Two wide viewing platformsfrom which it is possible to see both the Haría Valley and the Temisa Valley.
