Ajei House

Ajei House

Colonial mansion with a rectangular floor plan built in 1720 in the Mediterranean and American influences can be seen in its architecture, as well as Arabic tiles on its 3 and 4 pitch roofs. It has a large central patio.

A remarkable element is that, compared to the omnipresent white in the constructions of the Island, the whitewash of Casa Ajei is ocher.

As the Casa del Mayor Guerra, from the same period, shows the influence that America and the Mediterranean had on Canarian architecture.

Currently it operates as a cultural center for the City Council, carrying out different types of activities.
