
The aeronautical museum, managed by Aena Airports, is installed in the building of the old passenger terminal. It was built in the early 1940s and developed its activity between 1946 and 1970.
This space offers the chance to see photographs and documents of the first planes that arrived on the island, portraits that show that, during the 1940s, traveling in plane was a real adventure only for the bravest.
In addition to the photographs and explanatory panels, the museum shows different pieces such asthe first telephones, old navigation charts, wind speed meters, Peculiar scales or boarding tapes with rudimentary operation.
